wow. At 36, I didn't think I was old enough to be an old school programmer, but that computer world article only lists things I have done (er, other than the punch cards). I guess starting to program in school, when PC's were things like TRS-80's leads to having done some stuff
the Slashdot article has a few extra gems - no wonder 'programmers' have a bad reputation.
